Privacy Policy

Buoy is operated by Interestship Career Solutions Pvt Ltd. We collect as little as the product allows, and we do not sell it.

If you are just looking at the board

We record:

• A tap when you open a bubble's details, and a click when you follow one through to its site. These are counted per bubble, for its owner. We count once per bubble per browsing session, using a random identifier held in your browser's session storage that is discarded when you close the tab.
• A visitor count, so the board can show how many people are looking at it. This is a rotating random identifier and a timestamp, kept briefly and then deleted.

None of the above identifies you, and we set no advertising cookies.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets its own cookies and reports to Google, who process that data under their own terms. It tells us about traffic in aggregate; it is not used to build a profile of you, and we do not connect it to your account or your placements.

If you would rather not be measured, browser-level tracking protection and Google's own opt-out add-on both stop it. Nothing on this site stops working if you block it.

If you buy a bubble

We hold:

• Your email address, given to us by Razorpay when you pay. It identifies your placements, signs you in, and receives receipts, expiry reminders and a weekly summary of your numbers.
• What you published — your link, name, one-liner and logo. This is public by design; that is what you bought.
• Payment references from Razorpay, so a payment can be matched to a placement and disputes handled. We never see or store card details. Razorpay's own privacy policy governs what they hold.

Who else touches it

• Razorpay — payments.
• Supabase — the database.
• Vercel — hosting.
• Resend — email delivery.
• Google Analytics — visitor measurement.

Each processes data on our behalf in order to run the service. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, for any purpose.

How long we keep it

A placement's public page — name, link, one-liner, dates and final counts — stays online after the bubble pops. That permanence is part of what is sold. Your email address and payment references are kept while you have an account, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Visitor-presence records are deleted within hours.

Your choices

Write to hello@interestship.com to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Deleting your account removes your email address and disconnects your placements from you; where a placement has already been public we may keep the published content, since it formed part of a public record other people relied on.

You can stop the weekly summary emails without affecting anything you have already bought.
